EagleBurgmann, in the beginning known as Burgmann, has been present in the Italian market since the 1970's. In the beginning, an agent represented Burgmann; however, a direct subsidiary was opened in 1989.
The first facility was located in Vimercate, 20 km north-east of Milan, with commercial offices and a service workshop for mechanical seals and supply systems on-site. Since the beginning, the company has shown a constant and promising growth.
In 2000, Burgmann Italia srl also took over the distribution and service of expansion joints (fabric, rubber and steel) from KE, a Danish company that has already been part of the Burgmann group. At that time, Burgmann Italia srl had 16 employees, of which two were based at the BT Burgmann-Vicenza offices, a company also acquired by Burgmann in those years.
In 2003, the German Freudenberg Group acquired the Burgmann Group.
By 2004, Burgmann Italia srl was in need of more space for their offices and workshop, which is why it moved from Vimercate to Osnago.
In 2005, a joint venture between the Japanese Eagle Industries and Burgmann was created; Freudenberg already had an active partnership with the Japanese EKK group, which owned Eagle Industries. The Italian subsidiary then became EagleBurgmann Italia srl.
In 2008, to improve the presence in the territory, EagleBurgmann decided to open a new service center with commercial offices in Ravenna.
The growth continued, and by 2014, EagleBurgmann Italia srl had 35 employees, and the sales responsibility over eight other countries (Albania, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Malta).
The last step, approved by the EagleBurgmann management as an investement in the Italian market, was the opening of a new service center in Sicily, which opened in the last quarter of 2015.
